There is a main pool with a splash pad and water slide, as well as a quiet all ages pool. There are daily activities and on-site dining options.
There is something special about walking into the Grand Floridian. As the greeter says “welcome home” as you enter the lobby, you can’t help but to feel a sense of calm over you. The resort has a calming affect and it is gorgeously maintained.
The resort is spacious but not overwhelmingly large and most people can get around fairly easy.
The Grand Floridian is home to Disney’s wedding chapel and you may see a happy couple walking the grounds. The setting on the Seven Seas Lagoon makes it a great location for relaxing and theme park days.
Is Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort Worth It
When planning your Disney vacation cost there are many factors that go into what makes a resort affordable or not. It is a personal decision and what I find worth it might not be worth it for you.
With that being said if the Grand Floridian is in your budget the proximity to the Magic Kingdom, and easy access to Epcot, is a big perk. The Victorian style may be more suited to adults but the resort is still family friendly, it is Disney World after all.
If you are not planning on spending a lot of time at the resort or you are not spending a lot of time at Magic Kingdom this might not be the best choice.
If more of your park days will be at Hollywood Studios you might want to look at staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation. They offer skyliner transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
