Top Disneyland Paris Rides and Attractions for Teens

Are you visiting Disneyland Paris with teens? This list of the top Disneyland Paris rides for teens will help you plan an awesome Disneyland Paris trip with your kids.

We are a Disney family. We have visited Walt Disney World and Disneyland in California. Our next Disney Park was Disneyland Paris and I was looking forward to see how we would all like it.

I love the classic Disney rides likes “it’s a small world” and Peter Pan’s Flight, but when visiting Disneyland Paris with teens we are looking for thrill rides to include in our day.

Most of the thrill rides are fine for young children, with a couple exceptions like the more intense roller coasters. Teenagers will find a good mix of thrills and fun with the Disneyland Paris rides.

There are two theme parks at Disneyland Paris. They are Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Each of the park has rides and attractions for teens.

Most of the thrill rides will have height restrictions. Hyperspace Mountain and Avengers Assemble have a 48 inch or 1.20m height requirement.

I also included in our list rides that are entertaining for teens, not just extreme thrills, because young kids and older kids will find something they love at the parks.

Best Disneyland Paris Rides for Teens

Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean will always be at the top of my Disney rides list because it is awesome. The animatronics, the singing, it is perfect classic Disney.

There are a few small drops and Pirates is a great ride for all ages. It is not a super thrill ride but it is a super fun ride. Honestly I don’t think I have met someone who likes Disney and doesn’t like Pirates.

The Disneyland Paris version is a bit different than the Magic Kingdom attraction. It is more similar to Disneyland in California but it does have some unique features.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

Star Tours is a simulator ride much like the one at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The unique aspect of this ride for us was that it was all in French. It was interesting to experience the attraction in another language and our kids got to practice their French listening skills.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is similar to the overlay Disneyland in Anaheim does at times during the year.

It is a launch roller coaster and was one of my kids favorite rides at Disneyland Park. It can be a bit rough with high speeds and turns but most teens will love it.

Phantom Manor

Phantom Manor is Disneyland Paris version of the Haunted Mansion. It has it’s own story and is unique to the Disneyland Paris park. From the creepy bride at the loading station to the Wild West scene of ghosts, Phantom Manor is a must ride when visiting.

Big Thunder Mountain

Big Thunder Mountain was one of my personal favorites at Disneyland. Riders board the train and then travel underground to the track. It is so unique and one of the most popular rides at Disneyland Paris.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

I don’t know what to say about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. It is a roller coaster that does have a loop and is fun, but the theme just doesn’t hit the mark for me.

This ride feels like you could find it in any theme park and doesn’t have a true Disney feel to me. With that being said if you are traveling with someone that loves roller coasters this is a fun ride.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

We anticipated The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to be so scary and it was but it was also so much fun. I thought it would be more like the attraction at Hollywood Studios, and the plot is a little bit like that, but the attraction is more like Guardians of the Galaxy at Disney’s California Adventure.

I don’t want to share any spoilers but this ride is a can’t miss attraction!

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure is a copy of the attraction from Marvel’s Avengers Campus in California. It is a super fun ride. Kids and adults will enjoy helping Spider-Man on an adventure.

This show has a preshow with Peter Parker and it is mostly in French. We could easily understand the directions, some are in English, but this was fun for all of us to experience in a different language.

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is a newer attraction that used to be Rock & Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. My kids love this roller coaster! The new overlay has Iron Man and Captain Marvel with you on the adventure.

Crush’s Coaster

Crush’s Coaster is a roller coaster that is unique to the Disneyland Paris parks. It is very popular and slow loading which makes for very long lines. You need to ride this as soon as the park opens.

The ride starts with guests traveling through different Nemo and friends scenes in a turtle shell and concludes with a spinning roller coaster.

It is super fun and if the lines weren’t so long we would have ridden multiple times. Be warned you may get dizzy with the spinning. I was able to ride it once and that was enough for me. The kids would have done it again.

More Attractions at Disneyland Paris for Teens

Teens enjoy much more than just thrills and I wanted to include the attractions that we enjoyed as a family. Even if a ride is all ages don’t exclude it from your plans.

Consider what your teen enjoys and be sure to spend your time at the parks doing those things.

  • Animations Academy: Does your teen like to draw? This is a class led by a Disney animator. Each class teaches how to draw a popular Disney character. You do not need to make reservations but spots are limited so you may have to wait a bit for the next class. This is located in Walt Disney Studios Park at Toon Studio.
  • Walk around Fantasyland. Walk inside Sleeping Beauty Castle. In this walk-through guests can see the sleeping dragon under the castle. This is unique to the Disneyland Park. Sadly this was under refurbishment during our visit but I highly recommend checking it out.
  • When in Fantasyland take a spin on the classic dark rides like Peter Pan’s Flight, Les Voyages de Pinocchio, and Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White). These are classic Disney and shouldn’t be missed on your trip. Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups are not just for small children. Enjoy all the Disney classic rides!
  • Alice’s Curious Labyrinth is a walk through attraction at Disneyland Park that has fun photo-ops and an overhead view of the park. It can get crowded but if you are visiting with low crowds experiencing this walk-through is fun.
  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is another attraction you can find at the US Disney parks but most teens enjoy the competition and interactive elements of the Buzz Lightyear ride.
  • There is a Pixar area at Walt Disney Studios that has a few flat rides, my kids enjoyed the RC Racer. It also has Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure which is a great ride to include in your day.

Tops Tips for Disneyland Paris with Teens

If you want to avoid long queues consider the single rider line. The single rider line will significantly lower your wait time for most attractions. It is free to use but it does mean you may get split up from your group. It is a great option with teens who don’t mind riding with another party and want to avoid the long queue time.

Plan your day with riding the most popular attractions at the start or end of your day. The long queues will be in the middle of the day. Peter Pan’s Flight, Big Thunder Mountain, Crush’s Coaster, and Spider-Man are the busiest.

Include your teens in the planning process. Ask them what rides and attractions they want to experience. This will keep everyone on the same page and help them enjoy the parks.
