Review of 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast

Character dining at Walt Disney World is a fun experience to include in your Disney vacation. Our review of 1900 Park Fare character breakfast at the Grand Floridian will help decided if its a good pick for your trip.

Red Velvet Pancakes. Disney Characters. Gummy Bears on the Breakfast Buffet.

That is what you can expect at the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort. Currently the breakfast is unavailable because of the COVID shutdown.

I expect it to open within the next few months based on the fact that more dining has become available.

If you are thinking about visiting Walt Disney World in 2023 this character breakfast buffet is a great option to consider.

I am a big fan of attending character dining because it saves us time in the park waiting for characters, the character meet and greets are personalized, and the food is typically unique to that restaurant.

We visited 1900 Park Fare for breakfast a few years ago and had an opportunity to visit a second time and enjoyed it just as much.

Overview of 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast

1900 Park Fare is a restaurant that offers different dining options throughout the day. There are three character dining experiences at 1900 Park Fare.

They are Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, Wonderland Tea Party, and Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner.

We attended the Supercalifragilisitc Breakfast on both of our visits. Breakfast reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance and runs from 8:00am-11:50am.

The breakfast is served buffet style and has a wide assortment of breakfast items.

Some of our favorites are the red velvet pancakes, the pastries, Mickey waffles, and gummy bears. I have no idea why there are gummy bears but my kids think this is great for breakfast!

If you are visiting on a non-park day, I suggest booking for a late breakfast or early lunch.

This will allow you to sleep in on your rest day. Read more about what to do on a rest day at Disney World.

Also allow yourself time to explore the grounds of the Grand Floridian. It is a stunning resort and is worth walking around before or after your breakfast.

Where is 1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian resort. The Grand Floridian is a Disney resort located near the Magic Kingdom park.

Boat ride from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Grand Floridian.

You have a few transportation options to get there. If you have a car, you can drive to the resort. Another option is to take the bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom.

From there you will take the monorail or boat to the Grand Floridian. We prefer to not drive during our Disney vacation and find that the monorail and boat are great options.

Guests can also use the walkway from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian. Be sure to factor in travel time from your resort to the restaurant.

Who are the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast Characters

The characters at the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare are so fun! They can change at any time but on both of our visits they were The Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh.

One of the best things about character breakfast is the characters come to you. Once you are seated at your table the characters make their rounds through the dining area and stop at each table to take pictures and talk with you.

Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is buffet style. You may go up to the buffet as many times as you would like and can try anything on the buffet.

Dining Tip: Make sure you are at your table when a character is close by or at a table near yours. If you are not at your table the character will move on to the next one.

They will circle back to you but you could end up waiting a bit. I suggest checking where they are before you go to the buffet so you don’t miss them.

1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast Cost

Prices are always changing at Disney World and I suggest checking the Disney website for the most accurate prices. The price range for 1900 Park Fare is between $35-$59.99.

It is important to note that a child price is ages 3-9. I learned this on our last visit when my 11 year old was charged as an adult.

Our 1900 Park Fare Breakfast Review

During our stay at the Grand Floridian over the summer we made last minute reservations for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I recommend making them as early as possible if it is something you don’t want to miss, but we decided to go the night before.

There were a few reservations available. Always keep checking for reservations to pop up, especially as you get closer to the date. Cancellations happen often.

We arrived for our reservation about 20 minutes ahead of our time and were seated within 10 minutes. The cast members were very friendly and helpful, and we were happy for a short wait.

The atmosphere of the Grand Floridian is Victorian and classic. This does not mean you have to dress up to attend breakfast.

We were going to the Magic Kingdom after and had shorts and t-shirts on. It is a casual breakfast.

Once seated our server brought coffee, tea, and juice to the table and we made our way to the buffet. There is so much food on this buffet. Almost too much!!

We all picked our favorites and had full plates as we made our way back to the table. As soon as we sat we were greeted by Winnie the Pooh who gave big hugs to the kids.

Mary Poppins stopped by next and made sure we were using our manners at the table. She always makes me a little nervous and we try to be on our best behavior!

Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter were next. The Mad Hatter mentioned that my sons haircut reminded him of a hedgehog and we couldn’t stop laughing.

They always seem to be the most fun. Often yelling at each other across the room or causing some sort of mischief. It is the character interactions with each other and the guests that make this dining experience so much fun.

After breakfast is finished you exit out the back doors. On our visits there was an photo-opportunity with Tigger along the back wall.

This location does have a Disney PhotoPass photographer and the pictures will be added to your account. There are not photographers walking around during the breakfast.

Overall we really liked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. It is a bit pricey but the food is good and the characters are entertaining. If you are using the dining plan the breakfast is a good use or your points or if you just want to splurge a bit on your vacation.

We highly recommend you take time to talk with The Mad Hatter and savor the Red Velvet pancakes, they won’t disappoint.
